Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, our driver will warmly welcome you and transfer you to the hotel in central Hanoi. After checking in and refreshing, you will enjoy an afternoon cyclo ride around the Old Quarter. This unique experience allows you to see the narrow streets filled with shops, colonial houses, and lively street vendors from a traditional three-wheeled vehicle. In the evening, a welcome dinner is arranged at a local restaurant, where you can taste the first authentic Vietnamese dishes of your journey.

Day 2: Hanoi Full-Day City Tour (B)

Spend a full day discovering Hanoi, a city that beautifully combines old and new, tradition and modernity. Start the morning with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Presidential Palace complex, including the House on Stilts and One Pillar Pagoda, symbols of Vietnamese culture and history. Continue to Hoa Lo Prison, also known as the “Hanoi Hilton,” which reflects the country’s turbulent past. In the afternoon, explore the Ethnology Museum, where an impressive collection of artifacts depicts the life and customs of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. Next, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, dedicated to Confucius and scholars. Pause for a local coffee experience at Hanoi’s famous Train Street before ending the day with a Water Puppet Show, a traditional art form from the Red River Delta.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Port – Bai Tu Long Bay (B/L/D)

After breakfast, drive to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its emerald waters and towering limestone islands. Board the Renea Cruise, where you will be greeted with welcome drinks and settle into your deluxe cabin. After lunch, the cruise sails into Bai Tu Long Bay, a quieter part of Halong, where you can kayak through dramatic karst landscapes, swim, or simply relax on deck. In the evening, enjoy a sunset party with drinks, followed by a delicious dinner. Night activities may include squid fishing, traditional games, or relaxing under the starlit sky.

Day 4: Thien Canh Son Cave – Halong Port – Ninh Binh (B/L)

Begin the day with a Tai Chi session on deck as the sun rises over the bay. After breakfast, take a guided excursion to Thien Canh Son Cave, known for its stunning stalactites and panoramic views. Return to the cruise for a cooking demonstration, where you learn to prepare traditional Vietnamese spring rolls. After an early lunch, disembark and meet your driver for the transfer to Ninh Binh, often called “Halong Bay on land” due to its limestone landscapes.

Day 5: Tam Coc Boat Trip – Cycling – Bich Dong Pagoda – Mua Cave (B)

In the morning, take a sampan boat ride along the Ngo Dong River in Tam Coc, drifting through rice fields and limestone cliffs. Continue with a visit to Bich Dong Pagoda, a charming complex of three ancient temples nestled into a mountain. In the afternoon, climb up to Mua Cave for a panoramic view of Tam Coc’s landscape, one of the most iconic photo spots in Vietnam. Cycling through the peaceful countryside completes the day.

Day 6: Ninh Binh Free Day – Night Train to Dong Hoi (B)

Enjoy a leisurely day in Ninh Binh to relax or explore the area on your own. In the evening, transfer to Ninh Binh Railway Station for the night train to Dong Hoi. The SE3 train departs at 21:40, and you will sleep in a comfortable shared 4-berth cabin.

Day 7: Dong Hoi – Quang Binh (B)

Arrive in Dong Hoi early in the morning, where your driver meets you at the station. Transfer to your hotel for breakfast and early check-in. The rest of the day is free for relaxation or self-exploration of Quang Binh, a province famous for its caves and national parks.

Day 8: Paradise Cave & Dark Cave Adventure (B/L)

After breakfast, join a group tour to discover two of Quang Binh’s highlights inside Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. Begin with Paradise Cave, the longest dry cave in Asia, reached via a short golf cart ride and a climb to the entrance. The spectacular stalactites and stalagmites inside create a magical underground world. After lunch at Dark Cave restaurant, continue to Dark Cave for an adventurous afternoon. Activities include zip-lining, kayaking, swimming in the river, and experiencing a fun mud bath inside the cave. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 9: Quang Binh – Hue (B)

Check out and transfer by road from Quang Binh to Hue. The journey takes you along the coastal roads of Central Vietnam, with time for a short stop. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10: Hue City Tour (B)

Start the day with a cyclo ride across Trang Tien Bridge to Dong Ba Market, where you can observe daily trading activities. Continue to the Imperial Citadel, the seat of the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802 to 1945, exploring its palaces, gates, and temples. Stroll through Kim Long Village for a glimpse of local life before visiting Tu Duc Tomb, one of the most beautiful royal mausoleums. A boat trip along the Perfume River takes you to Thien Mu Pagoda, a symbol of Hue’s spirituality.

Day 11: Hue – Hoi An via Hai Van Pass (B)

Leave Hue in the morning and travel along the scenic coastal road through Hai Van Pass, known for its panoramic views of mountains and sea. Stop for photos before continuing to Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After hotel check-in, you have the evening free to enjoy the lantern-lit streets and riverside atmosphere.

Day 12: Hoi An – Tra Que Vegetable Village – Cooking Experience (B)

Cycle from your hotel to a lantern workshop, where artisans teach you how to make a colorful lantern. Continue cycling through rice paddies and villages to reach Tra Que Vegetable Village. Participate in farming activities, learn about local herbs, and enjoy a 30-minute foot massage. Afterwards, join a cooking class to prepare Vietnamese pancakes and other dishes before cycling back to Hoi An.

Day 14: Hoi An – Danang – Flight to Saigon (B)

Enjoy a relaxed morning until your transfer to Danang Airport for the short flight to Saigon. On arrival, transfer to your hotel located near Ben Thanh Market. The evening is free for your own exploration.

Day 15: Cu Chi Tunnels – Saigon City Tour (B)

In the morning, drive to Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network used during the Vietnam War. Crawl through narrow tunnels, see hidden entrances, and learn about the resilience of Vietnamese soldiers. Return to Saigon for a half-day city tour, visiting the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Central Post Office, French colonial landmarks in the heart of the city.

Day 16: Saigon – Ben Tre – Xep Canal – Can Tho (B/L/D)

Depart Saigon for the Mekong Delta, starting with a boat ride in Ben Tre to see floating fishing villages and the four islands of Long, Lan, Qui, and Phung. Continue by horse cart or “xe lam” to a village where you can enjoy honey tea, tropical fruits, and traditional music. Take a sampan boat along palm-lined canals before visiting a coconut candy workshop. Lunch is served at a local home. Afterwards, transfer to Can Tho, the capital of the Mekong Delta.

Day 17: Cai Rang Floating Market – Mui Ne (B)

Early morning boat trip to Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest wholesale market in the region. Watch local boats trading fresh produce, then visit a land market and walk along riverside alleys to observe daily life. Stop at Binh Thuy Ancient House or a cacao farm before driving to Mui Ne.

Arrive in the evening and check in to Aroma Beach Resort (Superior Seaview).

Day 18-20: Mui Ne Free Days (B)

Spend three days at leisure in Mui Ne, a coastal town famous for its sandy beaches, red and white sand dunes, and water sports. Relax by the sea, swim in the resort pool, or choose optional excursions such as sandboarding, kitesurfing, or visiting the fishing harbor. These free days provide a relaxing break after your journey through Vietnam.

Day 21: Mui Ne – Saigon – Departure (B)

After breakfast, enjoy free time until your driver transfers you back to Saigon. Arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport for your departure flight. End of 21-day Vietnam classic tour.
