Day 1: Hanoi Arrival and Old Quarter Exploration


Welcome to Hanoi! Upon landing at Noi Bai Airport, our professional tour guide and driver will greet you at the pickup lobby, initiating your exploration of this captivating city. Enjoy a 45-minute drive to the city center, specifically the Hanoi Old Quarter, while receiving insightful briefings on the most visited spots, cultural nuances, traffic intricacies, and culinary delights.
Upon arrival at your hotel, check-in and take some time to rest. Please note that the hotel check-in time is at 14:00.
Later in the day, immerse yourself in a walking tour that begins with a visit to the serene Ba Da Pagoda, nestled in a quiet alley just steps away from the Hanoi Great Cathedral – a structure with roots tracing back to the 19th century during French colonial rule. Your knowledgeable guide will lead you through the characteristic streets of Hanoi, including Lan Ong Street renowned for traditional medicine, and Lo Ren Street, a hub for metal item production. Explore the bustling Dong Xuan Central Market, the largest in Hanoi, before continuing to the vibrant Ta Hien Street – the epicenter of night activities and street food. Indulge in the diverse and delectable local foods and drinks for an unforgettable culinary experience.

Conclude the day back at your hotel. Please note that if your flight arrives late or you’re experiencing jet lag, the walking tour will be rescheduled to the city tour day.

Day 2: Hanoi Cultural Exploration


Embark on a day of cultural discovery in the heart of Hanoi, delving into the city’s rich history and vibrant traditions.
At 9:00 AM, your tour guide will pick you up for a visit to the Temple of Literature, a masterpiece built during the 11th century under the Ly dynasty, dedicated to the worship of Confucius and the education of royal children. Stroll through the picturesque garden to the iconic city symbol, Khue Van Cac, and explore the World Heritage “stone steles,” showcasing the names of outstanding students. Continue your journey to Quoc Tu Giam, recognized as Vietnam’s first national university.
The next destination is the Ethnology Museum (closed every Monday), offering a profound insight into Vietnamese culture through exhibits of traditional costumes, tools, musical instruments, and dwellings from various ethnic groups. Fully immersing yourself in this captivating museum experience typically takes around two hours.
In the afternoon, venture into the French Quarter, often referred to as a “little Paris” in Hanoi, with its tree-lined boulevards, government offices, and a spacious square. Visit the exterior of Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum before taking a leisurely stroll through the botanical gardens to explore the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, where he lived and worked. Continue towards the unique One-Pillar Pagoda, an iconic symbol of the city. The exploration of this complex usually takes 1 to 2 hours, depending on the group size.
Return to the city center for some relaxation before indulging in the captivating water puppet show – a unique performance dating back to the 11th century. These shows vividly depict the daily life, culture, and beliefs of the Vietnamese people through puppets on water, accompanied by traditional music.
Conclude the day by returning to your hotel, enriched with the cultural treasures of Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Hai Phong - Lan Ha Bay Exploration


Embark on a seamless journey to the pristine Lan Ha Bay, where you’ll be captivated by the stunning seascape and have the opportunity to swim in the untouched areas of Con Vit and Ao Ech.
At 9:00 AM, our team will pick you up from your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter for a scenic two-and-a-half-hour drive along National Highway No5B to Lan Ha Bay. Traverse through charming villages and rice fields in the Red River Delta, with a refreshing stop for drinks and restrooms along the way. Arrive at the harbor around noon, where a warm welcome awaits you at the cruise reception.
12:30 PM: You will be escorted to our support vessel and then travel from the wharf to board our luxurious craft, Peony Cruises. Be greeted with welcome fresh drinks, cold towels, and a special lunch featuring fresh and delectable dishes. Indulge in decadent dining on our luxury junk as we set sail for Lan Ha Bay—a member of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays.
By 3:30 PM, we will visit the Dark and Bright Cave, renowned for its pristine natural beauty and poetic seascape. Capture the romantic sights of Lan Ha Bay through photography and partake in bamboo boat rides and swimming, revealing the true beauty of the limestone mountains and the blue sky. Dive into the emerald green waters of Lan Ha Bay for a refreshing swim or enjoy the mini pool with a jacuzzi on Peony Cruise.
At 5:30 PM, return to Peony Cruise and relish the Sunset Party on Lan Ha Bay—an ideal time for photography enthusiasts to capture the stunning moments of the bay at dusk.
By 7:30 PM, indulge in a romantic dinner at the restaurant on Peony Cruise.
At 9:00 PM, savor the nightlife of the bay from the top deck. Immerse yourself in music, enjoy a glass of cocktail from the bar, watch famous films, and unwind on the cruise. Alternatively, join the sailors for squid fishing or simply relax in your room and gaze at the bay from the balcony.
Overnight on the cruise, immersed in the tranquility of Lan Ha Bay.

Day 4: Hai Phong - Lan Ha Bay - Hanoi Departure


Begin your day on Peony Cruise with a delightful breakfast served in the cruise restaurant from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM.
At 8:00 AM, the cruise will reach the enchanting Frog Pond area, offering you the chance to engage in kayaking or simply unwind in the four-season mini pool on Lan Ha Bay – a picturesque canvas of green mountains, blue seas, and diverse flora and fauna.
By 9:30 AM, it’s time to check out of your room. A sumptuous lunch awaits you in the restaurant, and any additional fees can be settled at the reception before departing to the port.
Between 11:15 AM and 11:30 AM, disembark from Peony Cruise and return to the port. At 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM, you’ll find yourself at Tuan Chau International Marina Station.
A driver will welcome you at the harbor, providing a comfortable 2.5-hour journey back to Hanoi via the new Highway No5B, passing through the Red River Delta and charming villages. Your drop-off point is your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter.
If needed, a private driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby for a 45-minute ride to Noi Bai Airport, either the international or domestic hall, as per your request. We sincerely appreciate your visit to our city.
