DAY 1: HANOI - HA GIANG (L,D)
After breakfast, enjoy a pick-up service at your hotel in Hanoi for a drive to Ha Giang – a beautiful land for nature photography of the heavenly terraced rice fields. The trip includes en-route stops for photography of the gorgeous landscape on the way. Upon arrival at a local restaurant, lunch will be served. After that, the drive continues moving forward to Ha Giang province and the designated accommodation.

DAY 2: HA GIANG - QUAN BA - DONG VAN (B,L,D)
The tour today is filled with trekking activities and cultural experiences. After breakfast, let’s venture out for a short trek toward the idyllic villages of Phuong Do and Thon Tha. Next, enjoy a ride to Quan Ba, in which the Dao and Tay minorities are keeping their traditions, customs, lifestyle, etc. The view along the ride is lovely and photogenic. Upon arrival, the must-do activities include hiking to the rustic villages, the Heaven Gate, and Fairy Mountain. Lunch will be served to help you regain energy.
The next tourist spot is the ancient Dong Van town, which is bordered by limestone formations. An outstanding en-route stop is the interesting Palace of the Hmong King. DAY 3: DONG VAN - MEO VAC (B,L,D)
The focus today is on ethnic culture, so you can meet and interact with the ethnic minorities at a local market (Dong Van Market opens on Sunday). Otherwise, start a day of adventure with the mountain climbing activity toward the French Fortress of Pu Lo, constructed in 1890 and evacuated in 1945. The location of the fortress enables you to feast your eyes on the panorama of the region. Dong Van remains remote, peaceful, and scenic for a happy trek, and you can expect to explore several ethnic villages on the trekking route. Have lunch at a restaurant.
Have a journey to the Ma Pi Leng Pass – the most impressive mountain pass at an altitude of 1,500m and located between Dong Van and Meo Vac. You’ll be getting to the lovely Meo Vac town, which is home to the Hmong, Bo Y, and Tay farming families.

DAY 4: MEO VAC - BAO LAC - CAO BANG (B,L,D)
Meo Vac town is ideal for a short trekking route thru the peaceful countryside, green view, and off-the-beaten-track atmosphere. You can also meet the ethnic people, resulting in a satisfactory trek. Then, the group will drive down the mountain to visit Bao Lac, home to the Black Lo Lo ethnic minority who preserve their traditional costumes. The whole landscape looks intact and rustic, without modern constructions. Rather, the unbeatable highlights are the truly green and fresh ambiance, which is hard to find in the city. Leaving Bao Lac, you’ll be on a drive to Cao Bang.

DAY 5: CAO BANG - BAN GIOC - NGUOM NGAO - CAO BANG
Have a morning drive along the scenic road filled with awesome views of the terraced rice fields, traditional ethnic houses, etc., and then you’ll be standing in front of the magnificent, awe-inspiring Ban Gioc Waterfall. This is the fourth largest waterfall in the world and the largest one in Vietnam. There have been hundreds of online posts about this impressive natural site, and you must see it. Activities to do in Ban Gioc include taking pictures, relaxing, taking a boat trip, and feeling how fresh the water is. Next to Ban Gioc is the spectacular Nguom Ngao Cave, in which kilometers of the stalagmites and stalactites remain. The interior of the cave is massive for exploration and photography.

DAY 6: CAO BANG - BA BE LAKE (B,L,D)
The major attraction today is Ba Be Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam, which is famous. The lake is home to various kinds of flora and fauna, especially birds. Besides the lake view, you can expect to marvel at the breathtaking valleys, towering rocky outcrops, underground tributaries, and a mystic cave. Those elements ensure an exciting outdoor time. DAY 7: BA BE LAKE - HANOI (B,L)
We’ll have breakfast, and then be energetic to begin a journey on a two-wheel vehicle. A bike trip thru the village road toward the hidden Hua Ma Cave is worth participating in. This is the biggest dry cave in northeastern Vietnam. After explorative hours, it’s time to leave Ba Be and drive back to Hanoi. Have lunch at a local restaurant, and then you’ll be in Hanoi around 17:00. The Northeast Vietnam Tour 7 days is concluded.
