From Yangon, we will head on to Bagan, the ancient city of temples. Here we will be able to explore the many temples and pagodas, and learn about the incredible history of the city. We will also spend time gazing at the sunset over the temples, a sight that cannot be missed.
Next, we will visit Mt. Popa, a mountain full of natural beauty. Here, we will get to explore the treks around the mountain, and visit the many sacred sites. We may also be lucky enough to witness the local festivals and rituals that take place here.
Finally, we will end our journey at Inle Lake. Here, we will explore the floating gardens, and take a tour of the lake. We will also take time to explore the local villages, and appreciate the local culture.

Day 1: Arrival Yangon & Yangon City Tour
Upon arriving at Yangon International Airport by morning flight, our guide will greet you and take you to the hotel. After check-in and freshening up, the city tour of Yangon begins, featuring the iconic Sule Pagoda (Land Mark of the city center). It is said to be 2,000 years old, with a central stupa that holds a hair of the Buddha. Around the Sule Pagoda, you will find colonial-style buildings such as the City Hall and High Court, all with unique charm.
In the evening, catch a glimpse of the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, 100 meters tall, shrouded in gold. It is said that it was built 2500 years ago and holds a hair relic of the Buddha, and is a place for devout Buddhists to meditate and pray.
Stay overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon – Bagan & Bagan Tour
Fly to Bagan, the former capital of the Burmese Empire, which covers more than 49 square kilometers and contains over 2000 pagodas. On your pagoda tour, explore the Bagan Archaeological Museum, the Shwezigon Pagoda built by King Anawrahta, the Htilominlo Temple with its old mural, fine plaster carving, and glazed sandstone decoration, and the Anada Temple with its four standing Bagan styled Buddha images and huge carved teak doors. Also visit the Ananda Oakkyaung, a red brick monastery built in 1137 AD with 18th century paintings on its walls, and the Thatbyinnyu Temple, the tallest in Bagan at 201 feet and shaped like a cross.
Experience a two-floor temple with a seated Buddha image situated on the second floor – the renowned Dhammayangyi Temple, the widest temple in Bagan, designed with the same plan as Ananda Temple. In the evening, take a horse-cart ride through the magnificent temples of Bagan for two hours, culminating with a memorable sunset at the Bu Paya pagoda.

Day 3: Bagan – Mt. Popa – Bagan
After breakfast, we’ll embark on a day trip to Mt. Popa, a 1520m-high mountain located one hour away from Bagan on the road to Mandalay. The trip to the summit takes around 45minutes, where we’ll visit the Mahagiri Shrine dedicated to the “Nats” (spirits) and enjoy the spectacular panoramic view. Along the way, we’ll stop at nearby villages and a palm tree plantation. In the afternoon, we’ll drive back to Bagan for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Bagan – Heho & Inle Lake Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to the airport for a flight to Heho in Shan State. Upon arrival, drive to Nyaung Shwe Jetty and check in at the hotel on the lake. Enjoy a boat excursion to Inle Lake: explore Floating Gardens, Floating Villages and observe silk weaving looms. Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda which houses 5 images of Buddha. Don’t miss the Jumping Cats Monastery. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon and stay overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 5: Inle Lake – Indein – Inle Lake
After breakfast, explore the morning market located in rotating villages around Inle Lake. This daily market, except on dark moon and full moon days, is visited by Inle Lake inhabitants and surrounding hill tribes who come to trade and sell their wares. Take a journey down a small canal from the middle of the lake to Indein, home to the Padaung (“long neck women”). Stroll through the covered alley lined with a thousand pagodas. Climb up the long-covered staircase to admire the Alaung Sithu complex set amidst ancient stupas and vegetation with stunning views of the lake. Enjoy your afternoon at leisure at your hotel, then spend the night in Inle Lake.
Day 6: Heho – Yangon & Yangon Tour
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before transferring via NyaungShwe village by boat and then by car to Heho airport for your flight to Yangon. After checking-in at the hotel and taking a rest, you’ll have your shopping time in downtown Yangon at Bogyoke Market and visiting some of Yangon’s most famous malls. Later, enjoy the evening sunset at Botahtaung Pagoda, a hollow type decorated with glass mosaic and said to be guarded by one thousand vanguards. Located close to the harbor, this pagoda is a popular spot for enjoying the pleasant atmosphere of the waterfront. After that, you can explore Nathida Jetty and its surroundings to discover the daily working life of Myanmar people. Finally, spend the night in Yangon.
Day 7: Yangon – Departure
Breakfast at the hotel before having free time to relax and reflect on your time in Myanmar before your departure flight.
